Located in Norwell Massachusetts, Fancy Fleece Alpacas
started as a dream in early 2001, and became a reality that fall. We began on a
small scale to see how we liked being alpaca owners. The two young females that
joined us stole our hearts, and soon we had three more females (two who were
pregnant). With our herd of five, we prepared to weather the winter and await
our two new cria in the spring. This was the beginning...
Now we have had many babies, and we have added herdsires
and a guard llama to our herd. In addition to raising
these captivating animals, Marcia also spins, weaves and knits with the
luxurious fiber. Her specialty is one-of-a-kind handwoven scarves (a wonderful
gift for you or someone else!).

Marcia has participated in a 2 day CAMELIDynamics clinic
with Marty McGee Bennett, and will work with new owners to understand safe and
effective alpaca handling. In addition, Marcia and Sarah have also trained with
Bill Watkins, and do their own shearing.
Not only do we have alpacas at our farm, we also have a cairn terrier, a tiger cat and a ragdoll cat.
In the past we have had ponies, goats, chickens, and a pot-bellied pig. Adding alpacas to our
menagerie has indeed enriched our lives.
